The strategic movement of some 7,000 staff from within the existing London Campus, of 17 buildings, to a, purpose-built triumvirate of new buildings, in Bishopsgate. The phasing of this complex and highly sensitive project, involved moving 250 to 500 personnel every weekend and anywhere up to 200 during the week over a 6 month period. Only the dedicated Project Management and the meticulous planning and attention to detail, with which both the client and Sargents tackled the many issues associated with this enormous logistical exercise, ensured a seamless transfer and non interruption of day to day business for the Bank.

This involved the move of 4,000 personnel into 2 new purpose built buildings within their London Campus. The fact that the moves were extremely time sensitive, as lease deadlines were ticking and required moving personnel from 6 different locations, often on the same day, with contractors still working at the destinations sites, gave the Sargents on site Project Management team one of their toughest challenges. This highly complex, 2 year project, was delivered to the client’s satisfaction.

The relocation of one of the largest global Law firm’s major European offices. The planning and implementation of this complex inner-city project, that saw a team from Sargents, led by Sargents’ European Project Managers, complete the move within the given time frame. Utilising all our European experience and combined with our UK resources we supplied some 2,500 crates to file and move the companies vital legal library.

After several weeks of planning and preparation, Sargents relocated approximately 100 Server and Comms cabinets, from London to a new secure facility in the home-counties. The relocation and commissioning were completed in advance of programme specification and within budget.

The re-stack of 2,100 staff at the Paribas HQ in Harewood Avenue, was only the prelude to the main move of BNP staff into these offices. Sargents had to ensure that both organisations, with so many business critical personnel, were integrated into the one building, so they were all available to work on the Monday morning. Again the vital work carried out between the Bank’s and Sargents’ Project teams, and the selfless commitment to the job in hand by all Sargents’ dedicated crews, saw this project delivered in every respect.

A Business critical move of 500 people over a 3 day period. The move, happened at short notice and entailed 2 Project Managers, in a compressed time scale, planning, designing and implementing the move. The ability of Sargents to respond with 75 fully trained staff and 5,000 crates enabled this project to be brought to a successful conclusion.

In order to ensure the on-time and within-budget completion of a Business Process Re-engineering project RBS requested Sargents to, over a period of one week-end (Thurs to Mon incl), uplift 1,200 crates of critical business files from over 250 RBS branches, across the country. These crates were collected and returned to London, for review and sorting by RBS admin staff, prior to redistributing to the branch network.

Requested to complete a Bank Holiday week-end move, of approx 350 staff, from one Luxembourg office to another, involving full pre and post-move planning, pre-move packing, the transfer/import of MSDW property from the Sargents’ warehouse conurbation to Luxembourg and full IT commissioning.

A 6 month move project, involving 1,400 personnel and £100M of computer stock, to their new HQ complex in Hatfield, Herts. The co ordination, once again, fell to our experienced Project Management team to ensure the project was executed to the client’s exacting time scales, within the parameters of the building completion dates. Utilising the full range of our commercial motor fleet, with our, flag ship 17.5 tonne Scania, air-suspension-ride vehicles, combining with 40ft box trailer units, to complete some 300 trips, over 8 weekends, prior to bringing this complex project to a successful conclusion, transparent to their client base.

Requested to sequentially pack, catalogue and relocate 750,000 mortgage deed files from a Woolwich office in London, to their Central HQ. This involved utilising in excess of 15,000 crate loads over several weeks.

After becoming totally dissatisfied with their two archiving suppliers service performance, including late deliveries, poor management information and lost boxes, BNP Paribas awarded the contract to Sargents. Sargents were instructed to uplift all 80,000 archive boxes, from a number of the previous supplier's warehouses, to Sargents’ dedicated, 24/7 Records Management facility. This uplift was delivered on-time and within budget, with all the stock catalogued and uploaded to Sargents database in extremely exacting time-scales.

Decanted 250 staff, furniture and IT, from their HQ in W8, to temporary offices in Leicester Square, whilst their HQ was being refurbished. We then moved the staff back to W8 once this project was concluded 5 months later.

Consolidation of the Queens’s Jewellers’ HQ’s, in London, to a consolidated Bond St location, including their show-rooms. As a result of Sargent’s excellent service we are now their appointed supplier for all Relocation, Furniture storage and Archiving services.

Following the financial failure of this major Financial Institution's furniture supplier, Sargents were requested to uplift and transfer all their flat-packed Furniture stock, from two warehouses in Exeter and Gatwick, to Sargents’ purpose built Logistics centre in Kent. This uplift was completed to exacting time-scales, utilising a combination of Sargents’ Scania and 40-foot trailers, over 4 week period. Sargents now provide a true Furniture Fulfillment service, storing, picking, delivering and fitting this furniture, on a regular basis, to their offices, across Europe.

This major Refurbishment project proves that no Job is too complex for our team. Sargents recently completely refurbished and refitted 3 Auditoriums, for this major London University, completely dismantling rows of padded seating for delivery to our in-house Refurbishment team, who then repaired a number of the writing tablets and reupholstered all 400 seats prior to re-installation at the University. This is part of a complete Refurbishment project and has been ongoing for over 3 years.

Provided 450 workstations (desks, pedestals, chairs and filing cabinets), on hire, for 5 months, to equip the huge team recruited to administer the flotation of the Woolwich Building Society. This project was delivered by Sargents to exacting time-scales and facilitated the successful, on-time, delivery of this immense flotation project.
